Crimes decrease this year
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In February 2016, 805 disasters and accidents occurred. As a result, six people died, 250.1 thousand heads of livestock were lost. Total of 741 construction fires and 17 rabies cases and 28 sheep small pox were registered.
Estimated damage caused by the construction fires amounted to 2.3 billion MNT and totally 202.3 million MNT spent for disasters and accidents.
Last month, five people died in the construction fires, one person in artisanal mining accident and rock falls.
The occurance of disaster and accidents has decreased by 124 compared to the same period of the previous year.
At the national level, 4,762 crimes reported in the first two months of 2016, representing decrease of 552 crimes or 10.4 percent compared to the same period of 2015.
This decrease mainly reflected decreases of crime against human life and health-- by 154, crime against the right of ownership-- by 127, crimes against the rules of safety of traffic and use of motor vehicles --by 118 and economic crimes decreased by 90 compared to same period of the previous year.
