Mongolian and Russian journalists to expand their cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In frames of a program on promoting Mongolia abroad, a joint forum of Mongolian and Russian journalists took place on Monday in the “Ikh tenger” complex, Ulaanbaatar.

Co-organized by the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists, the forum was attended by journalists of media organizations of Russian Voronezh, Chita, Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk cities, MONTSAME news agency of Mongolia and universities and institutes.

The participants delivered reports and held discussions on expanding the ties and cooperation between the countries in media sector, exchanging experiences and products.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg received the Russian journalists, and discussed with them issues of tradition of Mongolia-Russia relations, challenges, opportunities and understanding and friendship between people of the countries.

The Premier pointed out that he plans to meet with the Russian President Vladimir Putin during upcoming 2nd Economic Forum to be held next month in Saint Petersburg.

Trip of the Russian journalists here will continue until May 21.
