More people secure jobs through recruitment
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the results of the employment survey as of Q1 2016, a number of unemployed stood at 143.5 thousand. As of the end of May 2016, number of job seekers registered at the national employment authority was 47.3 thousand, of which 24.5 thousand are women.
Unemployed account for 33.7 thousand out of these job seekers, which indicates increase in the number of unemployed by 1.7 thousand or 5.2% compared to the same period of 2015, and by 0.3 thousand or 0.9% against the previous month.
Slightly over 50 percent of unregistered unemployed (17.6 thousand people) are women. Out of all registered job seekers, 9.2 thousand people got jobs by recommendation and recruitment of the employment authority in the first 5 months of 2016, which shows 42.3 percent increase in the number of newly employed by recruitment against the same period of 2015.
Among the registered and active job seekers are, bearers of secondary education certificates (49.0%), of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (26.6%), vocal training certificates (7.0%), secondary special education certificates (6.4%), basic education diploma (6.2%), primary education certificates (2.5%), master and doctor’s degrees (1.2%), and the uneducated makes up 1.1% of the registered job seekers.
