About 200 families affected by flood in Olgii
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ About 200 families and 770 people in Olgii, the center of Bayan-Olgii aimag, have lost their homes in the flood that followed the heavy rain of July 10, reports the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The local emergency department has conducted rescue operations.
President Ts.Elbegdorj gave direction to the Cabinet to attach great focus on helping out the suffered and eliminate the consequences of the disaster.
Three emergency units have been digging trenches to drain flood water to River Khovd, and evacuated the affected families’ possessions from the hotspot.
