SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In June 2016, according to the report of the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, maximum precipitation was recorded at 125.8 mm in Darkhan city. Shinejinst soum of Bayankhongor province had the highest air temperature 36.0°C, while Otgon soum of Zavkhan province and Nalaikh district of Ulaanbaatar had the lowest air temperature -0.0°C, last month.
Maximum wind speed reached 25 m/sec in Altai soum of Gobi-Altai province. As measured by over 10 air quality monitoring stations, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide exceeded 2-30 times, dust content with less than 2.5 microns exceeded 1-2 times and dust content with less than 10 microns have exceeded the maximum acceptable level 5-12 times in the atmosphere of Ulaanbaatar.
