Mongolian Mind Sport team breaks records in Las Vegas
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian national team at the Memoriad – The Mental Olympics, being held in Las Vegas, have claimed 4 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals. Grand Master B.Shijir-Erdene renewed the world record in Binary Digits category, having memorized 4,770 ciphers. The previous record was held by a German mental master, Johannes Mallov, who memorized 4,065.
B.Shijirbayar was followed also by his teammate Z.Tsetsegzul, who memorized 4,545 ciphers, which also broke the previous record.
This year, 167 participants from 27 countries are challenging their minds with no age classifications. The Mongolian team includes 16 members, aged between 7 and 24 years.
The Mongolian Mind Sport Academy broke and set many world records while taking part in 39 international competitions and winning 524 medals.
