Ts.Oyunchimeg sets world record in Europe

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Senior athlete Ts.Oyunchimeg has won a gold medal in the European Open Championships for Weightlifting, setting the world record. She took part in the women’s +75 kg masters’ category, where 14 athletes competed.
A niece of late B.Tuvdendorj, a champion of national wrestling, Oyunchimeg, 55, has been training with weightlifting when she was 49. But she already has collected gold medals in tournaments of World Cup and Grand Prix. She has broken the world record 10 times, the Asian record eight times and the European record two times in masters’ division.
