Mongolia-Russia Initiative 2018 event to be held in June

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Governor of the capital city S.Batbold discussed issues regarding organiziation of ‘Mongolia-Russia Initiative 2018’ event with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia I.K.Azizov on May 4.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador I.K.Azizov said that the Russian side is attaching big importance to ‘Mongolia-Russia Initiative 2018’ event. During the event, machinery expo is scheduled to take place at Sunkhbaatar Square. Machineries of various sectors with domination of agricultural machinery will be displayed. Moreover, round-table business meetings will be organized in the frames of the event.  

Ambassador I.K.Azizov asked the Mongolian side to work together and support the activities, adding that the main reason of the meeting was handing over the official letter of Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin to Mayor S.Batbold. In his letter, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin invited Mayor S.Batbold to visit Moscow and participate in an international education forum.

Responding to the Ambassador, Mayor S.Batbold said he has issued an ordinance on establishing a working group in charge of organizing ‘Mongolia-Russia Initiative 2018’, to be held on June 7-10 with an aim to expand and develop multilateral relations of Mongolia and Russia. The working group is led by Deputy Mayor of UIaanbaatar in charge of Green Development and Air Pollution J.Batbayasgalan. The Ulaanbaatar city’s Department of Social Policy, Ulaanbaatar city Police Department, the National Agency of Emergency Management, Health Department, Arts and Cultural Department, Tourism Department and Department of Food and Agriculture are working to organize the event at high-level.

Mayor S.Batbold expressed his pleasure on being invited and assured that education sector representatives will attend the forum.
