Mongolian team in special place at Primary Mathematics World Contest

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian children were selected in special place in team’s division at Po Leung Kuk Primary Mathematics World Contest held in Hong Kong from July 14 to July 19.
The Mongolian team consisted of four members including E.Enkhjin, 5th grade student of the 4th secondary school in Orkhon aimag, M.Bilegttuguldur, 5th grade student of the 1st secondary school in Sukhbaatar aimag as well as Ch.Chingun and E.Manlaibaatar, 4th grade students of Soyombo primary school in Ulaanbaatar city.
Out of them, O.Enkhjin won a bronze medal in personal event of the Olympiad which attended by 144 children of 36 teams from 20 countries such as USA, Australia, Bulgaria and South Africa.
Mongolia started taking part in the contest since 2012 and E.Enkhjin is the 5th child who claimed a medal in personal category. The Mongolian team was headed by Dr.B.Battsengel, a member of the Mongolian Mathematical Olympiad Committee and coached by B.Ganbold, teacher of Orchlon international school.
In addition, the Mongolian children were awarded a cup for their folk dance performed at the closing ceremony of the Olympiad.
