Ministry of Environment and Tourism signed agreement with ‘what3words’

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia signed a memorandum of cooperation with the British company ‘what3words’ today, on July 20.
The ‘what3words’ is a geocoding system for the communication of locations with a resolution of three metres. Using the system in Mongolia it will allow individuals or entities providing services in the downtown and the rural areas to encode their location into three words, helping the service providers increase customers and their income.
Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat said “In order to develop tourism in Mongolia, we are solving the issue of addressing, the major problem of the sector, for domestic and foreign tourists, with the ‘what3words’ system.”
