Training for health teachers launched

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Opening ceremony of the national training course for teachers who deliver health education was held today at the Institute of Teacher’s Professional Development.
The course will take place on August 13-17 with involvement of 90 people including specialists in charge of primary and health education at the Departments of Education, Culture and Arts of aimags and districts as well as biology teachers.
The Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports issued a resolution to provide health education in secondary schools. Health lesson will not be an independent subject for students from the first to the third grades as it is included in other subject. The subject for students from the fourth to twelfth grade is based on six contents: personal hygiene, eating, physical activity, mental health, bad habit, and reproductive health.
