Wintering preparations of the capital city running at 65.5 percent

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ A regular meeting of the Council of Governor of the Capital City was held on August 16, discussing a wide range of issues regarding preparations for winter.
T. Gantumur, General Manager of Ulaanbaatar city, reported about progress of wintering preparations. According to him, 1104 measures were planned to satisfy preparations for 2018-2019 winter, of which 65.5 percent or 724 measures have been completely fulfilled.
Moreover, wintering preparations of Thermal Power Plants I, II, IV and Amgalan TPP are running at 68 percent. Preparations of the Ulaanbaatar Electricity Distribution Network is going at 64.4 percent. Public utility service centers are intensively working in full swing, intending to complete all preparations by September 15.
Some extension works of thermal distribution lines which target to supply heating to Bayankhoshuu sub-center are running through 3 stages.
After hearing the report, Governor S. Batbold said that all maintenance works regarding thermal and water distributions and sewerage system must be completed by September 15 and maintenance works of schools and kindergartens should be finished before September 1.
The Governor assigned governors of districts, heads of relevant agencies and deputy governors of the city to intensify preparations and oversee the performances.
