Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. IM U.Byambadelger and IM U.Byambatsogt successfully completed Stage 8 of the 2019 Dakar Rally, which is taking place in Peru.
Finishing the 360 km race in 6 hours and 49 minutes, the Mongolian team ranked 42nd in the eighth stage and climbed up from 36th to 33rd in the overall ranking.
The stage was won by Sebastian Loeb and Daniel Elena of France. This places them 3rd in the overall ranking, which is currently being led by Nasser Al-Attiyah and Matthew Baumel, representing Qatar. With the 2019 Dakar Rally nearing its end, the winners will only be certain on the last day of the race.
