Joint programme to be implemented with Temasek foundation

On January 9, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar met with Singaporean delegates,
headed by Gerald Yeo, Programmes Director at Temasek Foundation.
Underlining
that Mongolian government pays much attention on diversifying economy and
opening new market opportunities for export production, the Minister expressed
his appreciation to Temasek foundation for its decision to implement a joint
program with Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support Mongolia’s
effort to build its capacity of trade negotiations.
Recalling
the discussion on the opportunity of this cooperation made during the Minister
Tsogtbaatar’s visit to Singapore last June, Mr. Gerald Yeo notified that within
the programme to be jointly implemented in 2020, three series of courses on
tariff, origination of products, service trade and investment will be organized
in Singapore and Ulaanbaatar respectively. The courses will involve economists,
experts and representatives of corresponding organizations of the government,
which will partake in establishing free trade agreement.
The
joint programme is a part of activities for the 50th anniversary of
diplomatic relations between the two countries.
