Ambassador to Russia holds video-meeting with Gazprom officials

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On April 30, Ambassador of Mongolia to
Russia D.Davaa held a video conference with the officials from Gazprom, open
joint-stock company of Russia, within the framework of advancing the study and ensuring
preparations the project to build a natural gas pipeline from Russia to China
through Mongolia, which is being implemented under the MoU signed between
the Government of Mongolia and Gazprom on December 5, 2019, in Sochi during the
official visit of the Mongolian Prime Minister to Russia.
During the video conference, a deputy chairman of the Russian side to
the Working Group on the project study V.G.Nikitin introduced the measures taken
to advance works outlined in the MoU signed between the Government of Mongolia
and Gazprom as well as the progress of establishing legal documents.
Ambassador D.Davaa provided relevant explanations and
information to each issue presented by the Russian side. Expressing the full
support of the Mongolian Embassy, the Ambassador said that it would pay
attention to delivering information on legal documents and materials that need
to be clarified and agreed by two sides to the working group of the Mongolian
side and relevant organizations shortly.
The two sides concurred to work together in all aspects to
intensify the works toward the advancement of the project as it is clear
evidence of economic cooperation that will prove friendly relations between
Mongolia, Russia, and China.
