State Secretary of Foreign Ministry meets Japanese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs N. Ankhbayar received the Japanese Ambassador to Mongolia Hiroyuki Kobayashi on August 19.
At the meeting,
State Secretary N. Ankhbayar expressed willingness to deepen Mongolia-Japan
strategic partnership relations in all sectors and intensify bilateral
cooperation by making full use of the dialogue mechanisms between the foreign
ministries of the two countries.
The sides
discussed a close collaboration in expanding partnership in trade and
investment fields and strengthening ties between private sectors.
Ambassador
Kobayashi reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with the Foreign Ministry
to strengthen Japan-Mongolia friendly relations and stressed the importance of
trade and economic cooperation. The Ambassador also said that the Japanese side
is studying a possibility to facilitate the quarantine regime for Mongolian
private sector representatives, who visit Japan, in the scope of promoting
business cooperation amid the severe pandemic of COVID-19.
Mr. Ankhbayar
expressed gratitude to the Government of Japan for providing concrete
assistance to Mongolia within the frame of bilateral and international
organizations at a time when the world countries are constantly fighting the
COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed his satisfaction with the decision to
issue visas to Mongolian students who will study on scholarships of the
Japanese Government.
