MP J. Chinburen meets French Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On October 1, MP and head of
Mongolia-France parliamentary group in the Parliament J. Chinburen met with
Ambassador of the French Republic to Mongolia Philippe Merlin at the latter's request.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador briefed on
projects being co-implemented by the two countries with the soft loan and investment
of France, including ‘A cable car transport,’ ‘Establishment of a unit
responsible for emergency air rescue operations at NEMA and provision of
helicopter and firefighting vehicles,’ ‘Eg River Hydropower Plant’ and ‘Sainshand
Wind Park’ projects.
Mr. Philippe Merlin also provided detailed information on
the activities of the French-invested ‘Badrakh Energy’ LLC operating in
Dornogobi aimag and the difficulties faced in the implementation of projects
and programs, and asked for support in resolving the issues promptly.
For his part, MP J.Chinburen expressed his commitment to pay attention to the implementation of the above-mentioned projects and programs and study the difficulties.
He also proposed the Ambassador to develop cooperation between the parliamentary
groups of the two countries and increase the number of joint projects and
programs, investing in agriculture, tourism and health.
