MP Ch.Khurelbaatar will chair Standing Committee on Budget

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At the parliamentary standing committee on budget meeting held today, January 29, 2021, a resolution to appoint new Chair of the Committee was discussed.
As stated in the amendments to the Constitution of Mongolia Prime Minister submits his proposals on the structure and composition of the Cabinet. Therefore, incumbent Chair of the Standing Committee on Budget MP B.Javkhlan, who has just been appointed as the Minister of Finance is freed from the position in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
Following the Mongolian People’s Party steering committee decision, current Minister of Finance MP Ch.Khurelbaatar is appointed as the Chair of the parliamentary standing committee on Budget.
After introduction and discussion, parliamentarians with 72.7 percent of votes agreed to nominate MP Ch.Khurelbaatar as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Budget and introduce at the plenary session.
Shortly after, the meeting conclusion was introduced at the plenary session and the Parliament resolution to appoint MP Ch.Khurelbaatar as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Budget was approved by majority of votes.
