Third meeting of Mongolia-China cooperation mechanism held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolia-China cooperation mechanism in response to the COVID-19 pandemic held its third video-conference on March 26.
The video-conference was led by Director-General of the Department of Neighboring Countries of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia T.Battsetseg and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Xue Jian and attended by representatives from health, border, customs, specialized inspection, trade, transport organizations, some local administration, as well as staff members of Embassies in Mongolia and China.
The parties reviewed the implementation of the “Green Gateway” temporary regulation agreed upon under the mechanism and discussed the possibility of resolving the difficulties faced by the main border checkpoints of the two countries due to the pandemic situation.
Moreover, it was agreed to intensify the joint efforts aimed at preventing and curbing the spread of the pandemic and making arrangements so that trade and economic cooperation and border crossing for citizens and labor forces run normally.
