Baritone Ariunbaatar Wins Casta Diva Opera Award for the "Best Singer of the Year"

Ulaanbaatar, April 1, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Mongolian opera baritone Ariunbaatar Ganbaatar, who is working as a soloist at the world-renowned Mariinsky Theater of the Russian Federation, won the Casta Diva Opera Award in the “Best Singer of the Year” nomination.
The prestigious opera award was presented to Ariunbaatar
for his
roles in domestic and foreign productions, including leading roles at the
Mariinsky Theater, as well as the title role in the opening of the new version
of G. Verdi’s “Rigoletto” at the Bolshoi Theater in Russia.
The new version of “Rigoletto,” in which baritone Ariunbaatar played the title role, will be performed on the Mariinsky Theater stage as part of the Bolshoi Theater tour in St. Petersburg on April 25-27, 2025.
The Casta Diva, the first Russian special opera award, was established in 1996 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of opera. Since then, it has been awarded annually to recognize outstanding achievements in opera. The jury consists only of famous and experienced musical critics.
