B.Ser-Od finishes 92nd place in marathon

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Honored Sportsman and long-distance runner B.Ser-Od took 92nd place in the men’s marathon race of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games which was concluded on Sunday.

Competed in his fourth Olympics, B.Ser-Od finished his distance in two hours, 24 minutes and 26 seconds. Other Mongolian athletes, D.Gantulga (2:27:42) and Ts.Byambajav and (2:36:14) finished at 107th and 130th places, respectively.

155 runners started the race, and 140 of them finished. A Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge won the gold medal after completing the race in two hours, 08 minutes and 44 seconds. He was followed by his opponents from Ethiopia Feyisa Lilesa (2:09:54) and the USA Galen Rupp (2:10:05).
