Foreign trade shows growth
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to a report of the Bank of Mongolia, the total foreign trade turnover of goods was increased by USD 350.9 million or 36.3 percent compared to the same period of last year and reached USD 1316.3 million in the first two months of 2017.
In particular, this growth was mainly due to increases of USD 212.0 million or 34.6 percent in exports and USD 138.9 million or 39.5 percent of growth in total imports. The foreign trade showed a favorable balance, in which exports exceeded imports by USD 334.2 million.
In terms of trade with neighboring countries, Mongolia's trade with China amounted to USD 907.6 million or 69.0 percent of total external trade and trade with Russia made up for 11.5 percent of total trade.
