Puccini’s greatest operas to be staged

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 160th birth anniversary of Giacomo Puccini, the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet will host the ‘International Opera Days’ event on June 28-30.
Within the framework of the anniversary Puccini’s masterpieces ‘La bohème’, ‘Madama Butterfly’ and ‘International Opera Gala Concert’ will be staged.
Best artists of Korea and Russia are working on the event at the invitation of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
“Giacomo Puccini is known for his free expression of human nature. His works became the most popular operas of all time for its melodic perfection. Opera lovers and even those who are not interested in opera transfers to another spiritual world driven by his melodies. Therefore, the theatre is proud to present the greatest operas on his 160th birthday anniversary,” said the theatre director G.Erdenebaatar.
‘Madama Butterfly’ will be staged on June 28, ‘La bohème’ on June 29 and ‘International Opera Gala Concert’ on June 30 respectively. In addition, in the light of ‘International Opera Days’ the ‘Best of classics open air’ concert will take place at the Sukhbaatar Square on July 1.
