Mongolian officer becomes Honorary Citizen of South Korean city

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Colonel B.Bayarsaikhan, sophomore of the National Security College of the Korea National Defense University (KNDU), became an Honorary Citizen of Nonsan city of South Korea. The award was conferred upon him by Mayor of Nonsan Hwang Myeong Seon on June 17.
The Colonel received the award together with 16 foreign
officers successfully studying at KNDU. Conferring the awards, Mayor Hwang Myeong Seon said,
“I am confident that you, the new Honorary Citizens of our city, will make valuable
contributions to developing tourism in South Korea, strengthening bilateral
friendly relations, and promoting Nonsan which is famous for its strawberries.”
Colonel B.Bayarsaikhan is one of the best officers of Mongolian Armed Forces who previously served in peacekeeping operations in Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and the Congo.
