Secondary School in Ulaanbaatar to Install Elevator under Japan's Grant Aid

Ulaanbaatar, December 31, 2024 /MONTSAME/. A secondary school in Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar will have an elevator under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects of the Government of Japan.


Governor of Bayanzurkh District Jargalsaikhan Ganbaatar and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Igawahara Masaru have signed a Project Agreement to install an elevator at Secondary School No. 55.


With the installation of an elevator at the school, students who previously required assistance to move between floors will be able to move independently.


The Government of Japan has been implementing Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects in Mongolia for 34 years since 1990. This project is the 609th grant project implemented in Mongolia and the 24th project implemented in Bayanzurkh District.
