Women Leaders Drive Equality Dialogue in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, September 11, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus (AWPC) will hold its annual meeting in Ulaanbaatar from September 15 to 16, 2025, jointly organized by the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of Germany.
Held under the theme “Advancing Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment: Policies for a Sustainable Future,” the conference will bring together legislators from 13 Asian countries to address key issues shaping women’s roles in governance and the economy. Topics on the agenda include:
- Women’s participation in the labor market
- Fiscal policy and gender-responsive
budgeting
- Access to artificial intelligence
and digital finance
- The value and recognition of care
work
- Entrepreneurship and financial
inclusion
- The role of parliaments in advancing gender equality
Established in 2011, the Asian Women Parliamentarian Caucus (AWPC) has consistently worked to strengthen women’s political leadership and build capacity across the region.
As an active member of the AWPC, Jargalan Batbayar, Member of Parliament and President of the Democratic Women’s Union of Mongolia, initiated and led efforts to host this year’s conference in Ulaanbaatar.
