President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa Meets President Droupadi Murmu

Ulaanbaatar, October 15, 2025 /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, who is on a State Visit to the Republic of India, has held official talks with President of the Republic of India Droupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan).
President
Khurelsukh expressed his pleasure at paying a State Visit to India, a country of
majestic Himalayan mountains, vibrant cultural heritage, ancient philosophy,
and modern development. The President expressed sincere gratitude to President
Murmu and the people of India for their warm and friendly hospitality toward
the Mongolian delegation.
President Murmu emphasized that the State Visit of the President of Mongolia is of historic significance, reinforcing the friendship, mutual trust, respect, and spiritual bonds between the two peoples and setting the direction for future cooperation.
President
Khurelsukh expressed appreciation for the full support of the Indian government
in implementing joint projects funded by Indian concessional loans and grants,
including the timely completion of the Oil Refinery Plant,
a symbolic project of bilateral cooperation.
The
President of Mongolia also lauded India’s leadership in renewable energy,
nuclear, and conventional energy development, as well as its initiative to
establish the International Solar Alliance,
which is making a valuable contribution to the global clean energy transition.
The
two Presidents expressed confidence that the agreements reached during this
visit will be implemented effectively for the prosperity and well-being of both
nations, and that Mongolia–India relations and cooperation will continue to
grow and expand. The two Heads of State also reaffirmed their commitment to deepening
cooperation within the United Nations and other international organizations.
President
Murmu is a graduate of Rama Devi Women's
College in Bhubaneswar and was the first woman from her village
to attain a college education. She became the first
female Governor of Jharkhand, serving from 2015 to 2021. In
2022, she won India’s presidential election as a candidate of the National Democratic Alliance and has been
serving as the 15th President of India
since July of that year.
