Speaker M.Enkhbold invites Turkish businesses to Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Turkish companies expressed interest in doing business in Mongolia at a meeting with Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold, reported the Parliament’s Press Division on March 12.

Following his meeting with authorities of the Turk Eximbank, the Speaker met representatives of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).

The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 20 Turkish enterprises operating in major sectors and industries such as mining, metallic, meat, land farming, cashmere, knitting, road, transport, urban development, energy, railway, hotel, tourism, education and health.

Speaker M.Enkhbold invited the participants to do business in Mongolia saying, “We will see to the realization of what we discussed today. Mongolia established a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the European Union, which enables the tax-exempt export of 7,200 types of products into European markets. Situated between two giant markets – Russia and China, Mongolia is a country with the lowest tax rates in the Asia Pacific region. Such advantages should benefit your business in Mongolia.”

On the same day, the Speaker met the representatives of Mongolians living in Turkey. The Mongolians expressed their appreciation of the establishment of an agreement on cooperation in social protection sector while conveying suggestions regarding revision of the policy on workforce abroad, validation of the academic certificates of Turkish school, inclusion in housing mortgage loan and simplification of the procedure for obtaining residential permit. Speaker M.Enkhbold, Minister of Labor and Social Protection S.Chinzorig and Consulate-General in Istanbul E.Munkh-Ochir took the questions.
