Defense Minister visiting GermanyPolitics
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Defense N.Enkhbold
is paying an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany at the
invitation of his German counterpart Dr. Ursula von der Leyen.
Defense Minister N.Enkhbold was welcomed by Ms.Ursula von der Leyen on September 19 in front of the honorary guards of the German Armed Forces and laid a wreath to honored monument of the Federal Armed Forces.
Following the welcoming ceremony, official talks of the Defense Ministers started, sharing views on bilateral ties and cooperation issues in defense sector.
The Ministers mutually expressed their satisfaction with current bilateral defense cooperation which is actively advancing and enriching with new content based on fundamental principles to deepen common interests of both sides and people-to-people friendly relationship, strengthen military trust in the region and the world and secure peace and sustainability.
Troops of the Armed Forces of the two countries have been serving together for peacekeeping mission in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan since 2009.
The same day, Defense Minister N.Enkhbold had a meeting with Mr. Manfred Grund, Member of German Bundestag and Chairman of the German-Central Asian parliamentary group to discuss about bilateral ties and cooperation.
The latter's visit to Germany is continuing.
