Uranbayar Secures First Medal of Team Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, August 1, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The 31st summer edition of the FISU World University Games is taking place in Chengdu, the capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Running from July 28 to August 8, the FISU World University Games, with the slogan "Chengdu Makes Dreams Come True," is the first international multi-sport Games being held in China after the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the third day of the Games, Master of Sport Judoka O. Uranbayar, a student of Mon-Altius University, secured the very first medal of team Mongolia. Uranbayar, Bronze Medalist of the Paris Grand Slam 2023, topped the bronze medal podium of the Games after triumphing over Ahibo Hans-jorris from France by ippon in the -73 kg category.
