ASEM information official source center established
视频Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Asia- Europe Meeting – ASEM. A decision has been made to announce March 1 as the Day of ASEM and is being celebrated from this year on, starting from Mongolia and honoring the first ASEM Summit held in Bangkok on March 1, 1996.
On the occasion of this day, a number of events have been organized in Mongolia to introduce ASEM, one of which is the opening of ASEM information center. The center will be open to public until the ASEM Summit to take place on July 15 and 16 in Ulaanbaatar, and will host training and advertisements on a certain schedule. Foreign journalists can also get information about Mongolia from the center.
Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren: “The Summit will take place in Shangri-La Hotel. It is planned that a media center for more than one thousand journalists will be located in this hotel. The center will also provide foreign journalists with information on the ASEM preparations”
During the opening ceremony, the ASEM information center signed a number of Memorandums of Understanding with media and press organizations. Memorandums outline an objective of domestic journalists’ solidarity and accuracy during the summit and appealed to contribute in improving Mongolia’s image on the international arena.
