Mongolian junior weightlifter won a gold medal

M.Ankhtsetseg, an International master of sports grabbed a gold medal in the women’s category of 75 kg at the 2016 Asian Youth & Junior Weightlifting Championships which was held from from 8th to 16th of November in the Otaku City Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Due to financial problems, she had participated in this championship without a coach. However, she became a champion by lifting 105 kg in snatch and 130 kg in clean and jerk, in total -- 235 kg.

She was ranked at 8th place in Rio 2016.

The Mongolian mind sport team wins World Mental Olympics

11 young Mongolian mental athletes won 4 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals, in total—15 medals at the Las Vegas Memoriad World Mental Olympics 2016. Two of them has set a new world record winning a gold medal in the categories of flash numbers and of binary digit.

Approximately 167 mental athletes from 27 nations, including Mongolia, USA, Germany, South Korea, Japan, India, UK and Australia have participated in this competition in thirteen discipline. 

The best singers and mucisians will compete with each other

More than 60 artists from Mongolia, Russia and China will attend at the II International professional singers and musicians competition named after Sharav Byambasure, the Laureate of State prize and the Honored Art Worker of Mongolia Award.

This competition aims to share mutual experiences with young artists, to provide an opportunity to compete among themselves, to identify talented young professional singers and musicians, to promote “Chinggis Khaan” rock opera and other contemporary works of Mongolian composers to the entire World.

The Mongolian Prime Minister receives the Ambassadors of the EU member countries

On November 14, the Prime Minister of Mongolia J.Erdenebat received 27 resident and non-resident Ambassadors of European Union countries.

“Since the early 1990’s the implementation of an independent foreign policy, Mongolia seeks to actively develop and increase the interaction with two neighboring countries - Russia and China, but also with other foreign States. For these purposes Mongolia is now pursuing the Third-Neighbor foreign policy which is aimed to extend and intensify the relations and cooperation with the European Union and its member countries in all possible sectors”, says Prime Minister J.Erdenebat at the meeting with the Ambassadors of the European Union member countries to Mongolia.
