Events you don’t want to miss in May

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With the most pleasant season of year approaching, a number of events are in line for residents of Ulaanbaatar this month, and we are naming the major events you want to mark on your calendar in May.

Ayn Rand Conference: Co-organized by Altan Taria LLC and Mises Mongolia NGO, the one-day conference will feature noteworthy speakers Yaron Brook, President of the Ayn Rand Institute, Carl Barney, Chairman of Board of Directors of Cato Institute, P.Tsenguun, CEO of Altan Taria LLC and State Honored Artist D.Sosorbaram. The conference will be held on May 16 at the Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel.

Internet Marketing Conference: Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites entities and companies to the 2017 International Marketing Conference to discuss global internet marketing trends and seek solutions to challenges faced by Mongolian businesses with Sean Gardner, #1 Social Media Power Influencer rated by Forbes. The conference is to take place on May 19 at the building of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ulaanbaatar Marathon: The working group in charge of the organization of the annual public sporting event aims expects about 25-30 thousand runners this year, as the 2016 marathon attracted some 23,890 participants. Co-organized by the Mayor’s Office, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Department of Tourism of the capital administration, the Mongolian National Olympics Committee and the Mongolian Ultra Marathon Federation, the event will be held on May 20 on the central square.

Social Entrepreneur Summit: The second Social Entrepreneur Summit is co-organized by Youth Business Mongolia, Development Solutions NGO and UnLtd – the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs based in the UK. Peter Ptashko and Ahmed Al-aagam, two specialists from UnLtd will be in attendance. The event will be hosted by Bishrelt Hotel on May 24.

TEDxUlaanbaatar 2017: The 7th TEDxUlaanbaatar event will be held under the theme ‘Emerging Waves’, giving a shout-out to ordinary, yet extraordinary people who are riding the emerging waves. Having already become one of the most exciting youth events, TEDx events have been expanding in Mongolia. The Corporate Hotel & Convention Centre will host the 7th edition of the event on May 27.
