Mayor visits construction site of new hospital

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, got familiarized with construction works of a new model hospital in Songinkhairkhan district on October 4.
Songinokhairkhan District has more than 300 thousand residents. Due to overpopulation, access to hospital services is low in this district. New hospital project has been carried out in a frame of the aim to improve Districts' health service quality and access reflected in the Capital City’s General Plan for 2020.
The hospital will have 200 beds with seven types of medical services such as surgery, maternity, neurology, oncology, pediatrics and gynecology. The hospital also will be able to provide 150 thousand people with medical services in ambulatory.
Austrian Vamed Engineering Company plans to complete the construction works in two years.
The same day, S.Batbold learned construction works of an annex of Bayanzurkh district’s hospital. According to a project, the 4-storey hospital will expand to 40 rooms with 100 beds, and it is expected that hospital load would be reduced by 40-64 per cent.
