Young wrestlers win two silver and one bronze medals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian young wrestlers won two silver and one bronze medals from the Asian Cadet Freestyle Championships, which took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on May 10-13.

On May 10, matches of the women’s five weight categories (40kg, 46kg, 53kg, 61kg and 69kg) took place, in which Mongolian wrestlers B.Nomun (40kg) and G.Namuuntsetseg (69kg) won silver medals and B.Oyungerel  (61kg) won a bronze medal.

In the women’s 40kg category, B.Nomun defeated her Indian and Kazakhtan’s opponents and in the semi-final match, she was lost to Japan’s Kokone Yokoyama by eight- four and defeated host country’s wrestler Munojatkhon Samieva at the bronze medal match.

G.Namuuntsetseg was defeated by China’s Zhang Mengwei by 10-0 at a gold medal match and claimed a silver medal in the 69kg category.

In the 61kg category, after winning China’s Zhao Qin by 9-2, B.Oyungerel wasdefeated by India’s Anshu Anshu by 1-4. In the semi-final, B.Oyungerel also lost to Japan’s Ruka Natami by 0-4 . However, she managed to win  bronze medal by beating Uzbekistan’s Azizova Aqsungul.
