30 thousand runners registered for Ulaanbaatar Marathon-2018

International Marathon ‘Ulaanbaatar Marathon-2018’ will be held on the weekend of May 19, which starts at the Sukhbaatar Square.


The annual race is organized among professional and amateur runners. This year, some 30 thousand participants have been registered for the marathon through www.ub-marathon.ub.gov.mn or in person at the Physical Culture and Sports Authority.


In this year’s race, marathon runner who represented Mongolia at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games and in the World Championships B.Munkhzaya is to take part in a distance of 42 km and 195 meters. Additionally, marathon runner B.Munkhzaya made achievements by winning the first places in marathon races, which took place in China and South Korea.

In the men’s distance of 42 km and 195 meters, State Honored Athlete B.Ser-Od and marathon runners from Kenya, Ethiopia, Japan and the Republic of Korea will participate at the invitation.
