At the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia Samantha Mostyn, accompanied by her spouse Simeon Beckett, is paying a State Visit to Mongolia on September 4–9, 2025.


Events In Ulaanbaatar:


September 8: International Literacy Day, proclaimed by UNESCO in 1965, is to be observed.

September 8: A discussion on “Disaster Risk and Climate Change Impacting Cultural Heritage” to take place at the National Library.

September 8: The 4th “Today and Tomorrow: Libraries” Forum, under the theme “Trends in the Development of Academic Libraries”, to open at the National University of Mongolia Library.

September 8–29: An exhibition by artist Erdenebayar Monkhor, “Standing Horses”, to be displayed at the “Khaan” Gallery of Khaan Tower.

September 9: A discussion on “Media Independence and Legal Regulation” to be held at the Press Institute of Mongolia.



September 10: The regular meeting of the Cabinet will be held at the State Palace is to convene.

September 10: A meeting to exchange views on cooperation opportunities with exporters from the Republic of Korea is to take place.

September 10: The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan to co-host the “Mongolia–Uzbekistan Business Meeting” in Ulaanbaatar.

September 11–13: The Ministry of Energy and Heavy Industry, the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, and the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority to jointly organize the 4th “Mining Week & Mine Pro 2025” International Mining Expo and Conference.

September 12: At the invitation of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Professor Susan Babaie of the University of London to deliver a free public lecture titled “Encountering the Mongols: On a Bag.”

September 12: The international forum “Mongolia’s Capital Market Connectivity 2025” to be convened to present the development and reform of Mongolia’s capital market, introduce new investment opportunities, and strengthen regional cooperation.



September 13: A seminar “50 Years of Engagement with Mongolia” to mark the 50th anniversary of the association of former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Shimizu Takenori.

September 13: “Car-Free Day 2025” to be observed.

September 16–18: The 13th “Knowing China – Inner Mongolia Cultural Days” to take place in Ulaanbaatar.

September 18: The Institute of Language and Literature of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences to host the International Conference “Language and Literature Studies 2025.”

September 18–20: The Mongolia–China Construction and Infrastructure Investment Forum to be held at the Corporate Convention Centre.


Local Events:


September 3–15: The 63rd Men’s and 55th Women’s National Chess Championships of Mongolia to be held in Bayankhongor aimag.


Events Abroad:


September 4–14: Ten Mongolian athletes (five men and five women) to compete at the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

September 6–12: At the World Archery Championships in Gwangju, Republic of Korea, Mongolia to be represented by national team coach J. Narantuya and B. Ganzorig, with athletes J. Gantugs, B. Otgonbold, and D. Dashnamjil competing in the men’s category, and B. Urantungalag competing in the women’s category.
