First Day of World Championships: Mongolian Judokas Win Five Medals

/MONTSAME/. Mongolian judokas won five bronze medals at the Paris World
Championships Veterans 2025, which began on November 3, 2025, in Paris, the French
Republic.
The four-day tournament has
brought together over 2,400 athletes from 66 countries. On the first day,
competitions were held in the men’s M1 (ages 30–34) and M2 (ages 35–39)
divisions.
The following athletes from
Mongolia each earned a bronze medal, raising the national flag in Paris five
times:
Saintur Bat-Erdene – M1, 60 kg
B. Enkhtur Begzjav – M2, 60 kg
Amarjargal Purevjargal – M2, 66 kg
Altansukh Dovdon – M2, 73 kg
Ankhbaatar Regdel – M2, 81 kg
Notably, D. Altansukh, who won the
Masters World Championship title in 2024, secured bronze this year, becoming a two-time
world medalist in the Masters category.
After the first day of competition, Georgian judokas led the medal table with five gold, two silver, and four bronze medals, followed by athletes from Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Kazakhstan, and France. So far, athletes from 16 countries have won medals, six of which were gold. Mongolia currently ranks 14th with its five bronze medals.
