Mongolian Skier Wins Silver Medal at '2025 Cross-Country Far East Cup'

Ulaanbaatar, December 19, 2025 /MONTSAME/ — Mongolian skiers preparing for the XXV Olympic Winter Games are currently competing in the "2025 Cross-Country Far East Cup" at the Alpensia Olympic Park in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Competition has brought together over 70 athletes from
various countries, including Mongolia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand,
Brazil, and Portugal.
On December 18, the first day of the competition featured
the women's 5 km and men’s 10 km classic. In the women’s 5km
classic, international master Ariuntungalag Enkhbayar secured a silver medal
with a time of 15 minutes and 17.9 seconds. Athlete Ariunbold Tumur finished
the race in 21st place. In the men's 10 km classic, international master Achbadrakh Batmunkh won 4th place.
Following the conclusion of this competition, the two Mongolian skiers, who have qualified for the Olympics, will return home to continue their training before heading to Europe in January.
