IOM Resident Representative Presents Credentials

Ulaanbaatar, March 24, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The Resident Representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Yoko Fujimura, presented her letter of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunkh, on March 17.
Minister
Battsetseg expressed her gratitude to the IOM for its support in implementing
Mongolia’s socio-economic development goals, as well as for assisting Mongolian
citizens in returning home from abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also
affirmed Mongolia’s commitment to further expanding cooperation and providing full
support in strengthening bilateral relations.
Resident Representative
Yoko Fujimura highlighted that the IOM will continue to successfully implement
its ongoing projects and programs in Mongolia and expressed readiness to work
closely together. Yoko Fujimura, a Japanese national, has previously worked for
the IOM in countries such as Iraq, Kenya, Tanzania, Chad, and Libera, according
to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
