The Mongolian branch of Nagoya University, one of Japan’s leading academic institutions, held a ceremony to welcome new students to its doctoral program for civil servants on October 23, 2025.

Bayankhoshuu Sub-Center Development Shows Steady Progress
According to officials, infrastructure development within the Bayankhoshuu sub-center has reached 96 percent completion. To date, a 20-unit mixed-use residential building, a kindergarten with capacity for 240 children, a business incubator center, a 50-unit apartment building, and a 35/10 kV substation have been commissioned. Flood protection embankments and landscaping works are complete, while the development of a 2.4-hectare public park is 91 percent finished.

Artificial Lake Park Planned Near Nogoon Nuur
The Chief Architect added that 85 land plots are affected by the project, of which around 40 have already been cleared. “Studies show that wetland soil releases twice as much oxygen as forested areas. Since the Nogoon Nuur area has marshy soil, it is highly suitable for developing an artificial lake and green park.”
