Border Guards Plant 650 Trees
Under the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign initiated by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the border unit No. 0257, named after Hero of Mongolia L. Davaadorj, has taken part in a commendable initiative by planting 650 trees in collaboration with senior border guards and building a "Khilchin" (border guard) garden.
Over 2.6 Million Trees Planted Last Month
Under the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign initiated by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, 25 thousand citizens and four thousand organizations have planted 2.6 million trees throughout the country last month.
Over MNT 1 Billion for Financing 34 Green Projects
The Mongolian Billion Tree Fund, established by the Mongolian Bankers Association in collaboration with Mongolian commercial banks and the Bank of Mongolia, will finance 34 projects with MNT 1.3 billion this year.
Gobi-Altai Aimag Plants 21,000 Trees in a Day
According to the Governor's Office of Gobi-Altai aimag, over 21 thousand trees were successfully planted in Yusunbulag soum in a single day. This tree planting event was organized as part of the National Tree Planting Day (May 13) and the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign, aligning with Gobi-Altai aimag's plan to plant 108 million trees. Specifically, this tree-planting event involved more than two thousand representatives from public and private organizations, enterprises, and citizens of Yusunbulag soum.
Khuvsgul Aimag Plants 7000 Trees in Two Days
Under the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign, over 80 public organizations and 200 enterprises planted seven thousand trees, bushes, and shrubs in the Soyombo complex of Murun soum, Khuvsgul aimag on May 6-7.
Selenge Aimag’s Efforts to Expand Forests
Mongolia has about 18.6 million hectares of forestland occupying 11.8 percent of the country’s total land area. Selenge aimag, has 1.9 million hectares of forests, which is a large part of northern boreal forests that account for about 85 percent of the national forest estate across fourteen aimags.

The Trees Planted in the Tuv Aimag Exceeded One Million
Ulaanbaatar, January 31 /MONTSAME/. According to the President’s Decree No. 58 on the “One Billion Trees” national campaign, Tuv aimag decided to plant 20 million trees throughout the aimag. For that reason, more than 1,172,282 trees, shrubs, and bushes have already been planted by the end of 2022.
National Tree Planting Framework Gets Off to a Blooming Start due to Aimag’s Efforts
In the framework of the “One Billion Trees” national campaign, Khuvsgul aimag initiated the subprogram “Let’s seed an Earth-Lungs,” and planted 463,730 trees, bushes, and shrubs in 2022.
30 million trees planted with seeds
Within the “One Billion Trees” national movement framework, Ulaanbaatar city plans to plant 120 million trees, 55 million trees for reforestation and rehabilitation on 12 million hectares of land, and 65 million trees designed for the apartment building areas of the city.
Forest Genetic Resources Center established in Mongolia for the first time
The ‘Erdenet’ Center for Forest Genetic Resources, which was put into operation on June 21, consists of a seed laboratory, a biotechnology laboratory, a quarantine laboratory, and a storage for seeds, twigs, seedlings and saplings, a reception section, a deep freezing section, as well as a training and meeting room.
