Mongolia engaged in trade with 155 countries in the first eight months of this year, achieving a total foreign trade turnover of USD 18.1 billion. According to the National Statistics Office, exports reached USD 10.6 billion, imports amounted to USD 7.5 billion, and the trade balance recorded a surplus of USD 3.1 billion.

The savings in Tugrug, the national currency of Mongolia reached MNT 20.1 trillion as of the end of July 2024, an increase of MNT 431.9 billion (2.2 percent). Compared to the same period of 2023, the total amount of Tugrug savings increased by MNT 5.6 trillion (38.8 percent).
