IFC to expand its work on green finance to help tackle existing environmental stresses

Illegal licenses of artisanal mining to be revoked
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Cabinet gave orders to corresponding government organizations and officials to speed up the works directed at erasing negative environmental impacts of artisanal mining, protection of environment, land rehabilitation and stop illegal mining activities and take enhanced control.
Flour price to remain stable next year
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Cabinet made a decision to raise wheat incentive to reach MNT 100 thousand per ton from former rate of MNT 50 thousand. In order to receive the incentive, the wheat supplied to flour mill must comply with standards. This measure is part of the efforts to increase flour production of domestic factories and prevent flour price to rise. Agricultural farmers believe that the flour price will remain stable thanks to this decision.
Mongolia’s total external debt amounts to USD 29.7 billion

On September 17, “Balance of payments and external debts” theoretical and practical conference was organized at the initiative of the Bank of Mongolia on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of banking sector in Mongolia. The conference brought together economic and financial scholars and researchers to discuss foreign currency revenue, policy measures and strategies in monetary policy and so on.

Online training portal on extractive industry to launch in October
