Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. This year, 26.95 km of auto roads, road facilities, 1891.2-meter-long bridges, 80850 sq.m pedestrian paths, and 14.35 km of bicycle paths are planned to be built in 22 locations of the capital city.

The building is 34 storeys and 136 meters high. The first part of the Shangri-La Centre was built in 2014, and the second part in 2015. The second section includes a 24-storey office tower and a 34-storey 200-room luxury hotel.

D.Sumiyabazar: During the visit, the Chinese side expressed willingness to support two major projects in Ulaanbaatar
The first test of a light-rail train will be conducted in 2024. And also, the construction of a highway will be initiated. Feasibility study and blueprints of the Tuul highway have been completed, which is one of the projects that are ready for implementation. So, we have officially proposed to China to implement these two projects within five years. The relevant parties are currently in the negotiation stage. I believe we can complete these projects.

MNT100 BILLION SOFT LOAN PROGRAM GEARED TOWARDS SME ANNOUNCED
Within the framework of public-private partnership, Ulaanbaatar City’s SMEs Support Center and Bogd Bank have announced that a MNT100 billion soft loan with be granted to the SMEs operating in Ulaanbaatar city. Specifically, soft loans with a monthly interest rate of 1.3-1.5 will be provided to SMEs. SMEs will be offered flexible and favorable conditions, and the partner companies will focus on further improving loan and deposit conditions.

BUDGET ON REDUCING TRAFFIC CONGESTION
During the extended meeting on May 19, 2021, for the first time, the Government of Mongolia discussed the pressing issues of Ulaanbaatar and made the decision to annually allocate MNT 420 billion to solve traffic congestion. Prior to this, the capital city authorities have been implementing several policies on reducing traffic congestion and all possible solutions that could be thought of except for those that required a large budget, such as subways, overhead roads, and bridges, and a unified traffic management system. This historic decision was made when Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Sumiyabazar Dolgorsuren and the city authorities cooperated with the Government to raise issues at a time when there was an urgent need for a comprehensive solution for the issue concerning decentralization.

Ulaanbaatar city authority fights corruption and supports businesses
