Nomadic Fashion Show approaches
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Nomadic Fashion Show, the biggest show of traditional clothes of this summer, will be held at 8 pm July 15, outside of the Chingis Khaan Equestrian Statue Complex.
The show is to be organized by “Genco Tour Bureau” Co.Ltd. and Torgo Fashion.
Mongolia has some 20 ethnic groups. The people have utilized over 400 different types of “deel” (traditional clothes), depending on their deriving, climates of their lands, intended uses, age and sex. Aside from being suited to the nomadic lifestyle of Mongolians, the "deel" have been reflecting richest contents of fashion and color, carrying in them the features of distinct historic periods. The show aims to advertize the national culture through the traditional fashion. Artists such as S.Naran and The Khusugtun band will perform at the show.
