Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reports that the maximum precipitation in September was recorded at 70.5 mm in Selenge aimag’s Orkhontuul soum.

Dornod aimag’s Choibalsan soum and Bayankhongor aimag’s Shinejintst soum had the highest air temperature (31.1°C), whereas Khovsgol aimag’s Renchinlhumbe soum had the lowest--minus 15.0°C.

In September, as measured by over 10 air quality monitoring stations, an average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide exceeded 2-30 times, dust content with less than 2.5 micron exceeded 1-3 times, and dust content with less than 10 micron in the atmosphere of Ulaanbaatar  exceeded a maximum acceptable level 12-13 times.
