Under a motto “No Country Left Behind” and themed “Aviation Partnerships for Sustainable Development”, the event was attended by some 800 delegates of national civil aviation authorities of many countries and international financial organizations. The action, which ran for the first time, aimed to explore the wide-ranging socio-economic benefits of an effectively supported civil aviation sector, to outline ICAO’s NCLB goals (No Country Left Behind) of supporting improved State aviation implementation and business case preparation for aviation projects with an emphasis on the implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies, and to foster improved collaboration among States, industry, development and business community partners, and ICAO.
