Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by D.Nyamdavaa, acting head of the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (CAA) has taken part in the ICAO World Aviation Forum, which was held this November 23-25 in Montreal of Canada.

Under a motto “No Country Left Behind” and themed “Aviation Partnerships for Sustainable Development”, the event was attended by some 800 delegates of national civil aviation authorities of many countries and international financial organizations. A head of the Navigation Department at the CAA P.Ganbold delivered a report about air navigation development of Mongolia and further goals.  Our delegation also met with Dr Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, the ICAO Council President; Dr Fang Liu, the ICAO Secretary-General; Mr Stephen Creamer, the Director of the Air Navigation Bureau; and other high officials, to discuss issues of the Mongolia-ICAO cooperation.

The action, which ran for the first time, aimed to explore the wide-ranging socio-economic benefits of an effectively supported civil aviation sector, to outline ICAO’s NCLB goals (No Country Left Behind) of supporting improved State aviation implementation and business case preparation for aviation projects with an emphasis on the implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies, and to foster improved collaboration among States, industry, development and business community partners, and ICAO.
