Dr Jean Beissel awarded Friendship Medal
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ By Mongolian President's decree, Dr Jean Beissel, the director of the Society of Cardiology and the National Cardiology Institute of Luxembourg, has been awarded the "Friendship" medal for his "big contribution to the health sphere of Mongolia".
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Belgium Kh.Davaadorj granted Dr Jean Beissel the medal during an event co-organized February 15 in Luxembourg by the Mongolian Embassies in Benelux and Honorary Consulates in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Present were also representatives of the National Cardiology Institute of Luxembourg, Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organizations for developmental cooperation, and Mongolians residing in this country.
Since 2001, Dr Beissel has significantly contributed to the boosting of a cardiology in Mongolia, participating in a project on establishing a cardio-vascular center in Mongolia, being implemented with a financing from the government of Luxembourg.
