Our Ambassador presents credentials in Bhutan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Bhutan G.Ganbold has presented the diplomatic credentials to His Highness Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, said Thursday a website of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After this ceremony the parties discussed the Mongolia-Bhutan friendly relations. His Highness Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck said he always wants to visit Mongolia, "which is similar to Bhutan in terms of culture, religion and history", and pointed out he intends to expand his country’s external relations and related to them meetings and visits, "we have succeed in internal affairs".

In response, the Ambassador conveyed to him Mongolian President’s greetings and said Mongolia wants to broaden the bilateral relations. He expressed a hope that Bhutan will join international agreement on officially commencing actions of the International Think-Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries and will participate in international meetings and consultation regarding economies of the landlocked developing nations and the democratic transmission in Asia.

The King said he had received a Mongolian horse on his reigning and that some Bhutanese doctors have been trained on traditional medicine in Mongolia. He conveyed his greetings to the Mongolian leader Ts.Elbegdorj and underlined an aspiration to boost the bilateral relations and cooperation in cultural area.

Present at the credentials presentation ceremony were Lyonpo Chenkyab Dorji, the head of the Royal House of Councilors; its members; members of the National Council (parliament) of Bhutan; Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; and other officials.

After this, Mr Ganbold held meetings with Tshering Tobgay, the PM of Bhutan; Lyonpo Damcho Dorji FM; authorities of the Foreign Ministry and General Election Committee.
