Nearly 30 thousand hectare land will be distributed to citizens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the regular meeting on Monday, the cabinet assigned the Minister of Construction and Urban Development Z.Bayanselenge to adopt the annexes that designate the total size, locations and appropriation of lands that are to be owned by citizens in 2016, in accordance with the proposals by the Citizens’ Khurals of aimags and the capital city.

Accordingly, 29,820.97 ha land will be possessed by the people for family use and 39.26 ha--for business.

Since May 1 of 2003, the date of effectiveness of the Law on Land Ownership by Citizens, as of the end of 2015, a total of 446,004 citizens have possessed 47,840.58 hectares.
